Break ups – the ultimate confidence crusher

ShatteredHeartYou’re in a relationship, you’re in love and everything seems to be right with the world.  You’re happy, optimistic and your confidence is sky high.

Then you break up.

For those of you who have had your heart broken you know how this feels.

The world seems a much darker place, it’s harder to concentrate on your job and your confidence is practically non-existent.

Your friends and family who love and care about you and want the best for you offer the advice, “You need to get back out there and meet new people”.

Are they nuts?  Don’t they know someone ripped out your insides?  How can you possible present yourself to new people when you feel this empty?

Time does go some way to healing wounds, however part of you is just not the same.  And the sad thing is that many people don’t know how to fully address that old wound before looking for love again and so they take their fears, doubts and insecurities into the new relationship when they start to date.

What’s needed before you dip your toe into the dating world is a process of letting go and making peace with what’s happened so that you’re free of bitterness and anger and hurt.  And trust me, you need someone who’s impartial and trained to ask you the right questions.  Your well-meaning friends and family just aren’t equipped for the job!

Working through the breakup aftermath ripples into many areas of your life.  Your concentration and happiness factor at work will go up, your health will improve after letting go of the stress and strain and you’ll be so much more fun to be around again!

If you’ve experienced a relationship breakup and would like someone to talk with email me for a free 30 minute heart to heart and let the healing begin shan@centrefieldcoaching.com.au.  Ready to play?
